Our exchange and return policy
Return Window
We accept returns within 14 days of the original purchase date for in-store purchases and within 14 days of delivery for online orders. Items must be in their original, unused condition with all tags and packaging intact. You will need your receipt (in-store) or order confirmation email (online) as proof of purchase. We give store credit for all returns. The only exception is if something arrives damaged or defective, in which case we will refund your original payment method (see below).
Vinyl Records
Vinyl records are a unique product category, and our return policy reflects that. Sealed records in their original shrink wrap may be returned within 14 days for store credit. Once a record has been opened, we can't take it back just because you changed your mind. But if you discover a manufacturing defect (warping, excessive surface noise, pressing errors, or mislabeled content), we will exchange it for the same title or issue store credit.
To exchange a defective record, bring it to the store during business hours. We will inspect the record on one of our turntables and verify the defect. If you purchased online, contact us at hello@octopusgardenfl.com with your order number and a description of the issue, and we will arrange an exchange or store credit. We may ask you to ship the defective record back to us (at our expense) so we can verify the defect and submit a claim to the distributor.
Jewelry
Unworn jewelry with original tags and packaging may be returned within 14 days for store credit. Alex & Ani bracelets should be returned in their original pouch or box. My Saint My Hero bracelets should include the original card and bag. Jewelry that has been worn, resized, engraved, or had tags removed cannot be returned for hygiene and resale reasons. If you receive a piece with a manufacturing defect (broken clasp, missing stone, discoloration), contact us immediately and we will arrange a replacement through the brand.
Leather Goods
Bed Stu leather goods may be returned within 14 days in unused condition with original tags and dust bag. Because Bed Stu leather is hand-finished and intentionally distressed, natural color, texture, and marking differences are part of what makes each piece unique, not a defect. If your Bed Stu item has a structural defect (broken zipper, separated stitching, hardware failure), contact us and we will work with Bed Stu’s warranty program to get you a replacement.
Apparel
Unworn apparel with original tags may be returned within 14 days for store credit. Items must not have been washed, altered, or show signs of wear. Band tees and graphic tees from Chaser and Daydreamer should be returned in their original packaging if possible.
Final Sale Items
The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Gift cards
- Sale and clearance items
- Candles and fragrances (once opened or burned)
- Stickers, pins, and items under $15
- Items marked as “final sale” at the time of purchase
Online Order Returns
For online purchases, contact us at hello@octopusgardenfl.com within 14 days of delivery to initiate a return. Include your order number and the reason for the return. We will reply with return instructions and a shipping address. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or was the wrong item. We recommend using a tracked shipping method for returns since we can't cover items that get lost on the way back to us.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrived damaged during shipping, contact us within 48 hoursof delivery with photos of the damaged packaging and item. We will arrange a replacement or issue a full refund to your original payment method, including any shipping costs you paid. For items that arrive with a manufacturing defect, contact us within 14 days with a description and photos. We work directly with our brand partners (Alex & Ani, My Saint My Hero, Bed Stu, Paddywax, Jim Shore) to resolve defect claims as quickly as possible.
In-Store Returns
For items purchased in our store, bring the item and your receipt to 5500 Main St. Ste 110-111, New Port Richey, FL 34652 during business hours (Wednesday through Saturday 11 AM to 6 PM, Sunday 11 AM to 4 PM). Our staff will inspect the item and process your return on the spot. Store credit is issued as a physical gift card that can be used for any future purchase.
